“Mizuhiki, Mitsumata and Chrysathemum” Misei Ishikawa, Master Instructor Sogetsu School of Ikebana, Tokyo Headquarters Demonstration for I.I. Dallas Chapter #13 & Sogetsu Dallas (September 2021) Ikebana is the ideal medium for me to express my impression of the vitality and beauty of the botanical world. In my work, I aim to create a dynamic balance among the elements related to nature and humans, such as space, shapes, colors, seasons, objectives, sentiments, and hospitality, while abiding by the basic theory of Sogetsu Ikebana. Having lived abroad and experienced different cultures, I have renewed my appreciation for Japanese culture's richness, and my interest in it has grown even more profound. |
