GRANTS

Grant Application Deadlines 

We ask applicants to apply at least six months to one year before your event or program.  We ask for this in order to fully partner with you in regard to publicity and outreach.  Applications are accepted on a quarterly basis. 
  • Q1 January (Deadline December 31)
  • Q2 April (Deadline March 31)
  • Q3 July (Deadline June 30)
  • Q4 November (Deadline October 31)

FAQs
​What does the Iwaya Fund provide grants for?
Grants are provided to ikebana organizations (e.g. - I.I. Chapters, Ikebana Groups/Branches) for any ikebana related events and activities.
how do i apply for a grant?
Submit the Grant Request Form with as much information as possible.  We often contact the applicant for more information during our evaluation process.
are there application deadlines?
We are accepting applications on a quarterly basis. The calendar year is January through December.
WE ARE NOT A 501(C)(3). CAN WE APPLY?
Yes, any organization may apply regardless of their tax status.
Can I apply for funds as an individual?
Yes.  A qualified individual may apply for a grant.  Their application must demonstrate need and maximum public outreach to be considered.
Is there a specific range of financial support for which I can apply?
Each application is evaluated based on the specific activity and other competing grants. 100% of revenue is disbursed in grants annually. The range of support is dependent upon available funds.
How long will it be before I hear if I have been awarded a grant?
You will be informed of your acceptance within the quarter that you applied.
If I am approved for a grant, will I need to submit documentation upon conclusion?
You will need to complete the Project Report.
Does Iwaya Fund consider multi-year grants?
Yes, for a term not to exceed three years and subject to annual review after the submission of an annual report.
If my application is declined, may I apply again in the future?
Yes, you may apply again.
If I have received a grant in the past, may I apply again?
Yes, you may apply again.
Does the Iwaya Fund provide funding outside the United States?
Grants outside of the United States may be possible.  Contact us for more details.
