​Donations to the Ikebana Iwaya Fund are tax-deductible and can be designated to organizations of your choice such as Ikebana International chapters, ikebana schools, study groups, or other independent ikebana organizations. 
Ikebana Iwaya Fund forwards 100% of the designated funds.

TYPES OF DONATIONS
Donations to the Ikebana Iwaya Fund may be made as either a Direct Donation or a Designated Donation.

DIRECT DONATIONS
Direct donations are allocated into the General Fund to support the following:
  • ​Standard Grants
  • Innovation Challenge Grant
  • Tanimune Teaching Scholarship

DESIGNATED DONATIONS
Made through the Ikebana Iwaya Fund but directed to support a specific ikebana chapter, organization, or group of your choosing:
Ikebana International Chapters
  • Any Ikebana International Chapter
  • NCAR Advocates — supports all all its North & Central American Region chapters

Ikebana Organizations
  • Ikebana study groups / branches
  • Ikebana associations

  • Honors a member of the ikebana community either as a Direct Donation or a Designated Donation.

Donation FAQs

HOw do I make a Donation to the iwaya fund?
The preferred method is to complete the the Donation Form and pay online with a credit card. You may also download the form and mail it with a check as indicated on the form.
Will the Iwaya Fund provide me with a tax receipt for my donations?
All donations are acknowledged with a tax-deductible receipt.
What is a designated donation?
Donations can be designated to an organization, an event, or ikebana activity.
what if I do not designate my donation?
Donations made to the General Fund are used for the grants disbursed to support ikebana.
Does the Iwaya Fund accept legacy donations?
Legacy donations are accepted. Please contact us for information you may need to formalize it.
does the iwaya fund accept in-kind donations?
The Ikebana Iwaya Fund solicits and accepts gifts that are consistent with its mission and core programs, as well as special projects. Gifts of real property, personal property, and securities may be accepted upon review.
are donations from outside the united states accepted?
We accept donations from anywhere in the world.
